  • In the most disturbing news to the sports video game world since EA Sports took the ability to crack your opponents' heads open in their hockey games, the NFL has decided to take a look at the level of violence in football video games.

  • Snoop Dogg is getting his own variety show called "Doggy Fizzle Televizzle" on MTV. It is set to debut Monday night.

  • You gotta love it when kickers in the NFL start fights with each other.

  • Saw a great story on CNN today. It was about a group of performance artists on the east coast called Kaiju Big Battel. Basically, they combine rock and roll, Japanese-inspired mega-monsters and pro wrestling into one hillarious event. Think GWAR meets Godzilla meets The Rock. Anyway, my lame description probably does it no justice, so read about it here and here and visit their official site. If I was a television producer I'd sign this troupe to a contract immediately. At least it'd be more entertaining than Battle Bots.

  • Corey Feldman, MC Hammer, Webster, Vince Neil, the fat chick from The Facts of Life and other C List "celebrities" are filming a new reality TV show where they all live in the same house. One episode features Feldman getting married...by Reverend MC Hammer! If they ever film a second season I would like to see Ralphie from A Christmas Story (You'll shoot your eye out!), Darryl Strawberry, the alive half of Milli Vanilli, Kato Kaelin, Amy Fischer, Heidi Fleiss, Puck and Nell Carter.

  • A great 90 minutes of television last night as HBO produced excellent episodes of The Sopranos and Curb Your Enthusiasm (sorry, I don't watch 6 Feet Under or Mind of the Maried Man)...

  • Started off with an excellent follow-up to last week's excellent Soprano's episode. This show just might have regained its fastball. If I ever have to go through an intervention, I demand that Silvio and Paulie Walnuts be there. Paulie just cracks me up, fucking plastic lining on his furniture, saving the painting of Pie Oh My because it looks like it is worth some $$$. How ironic was it that Paulie saved the painting of the horse from being torched when he was possibly the one who set the stable fire to begin with? And what was the deal with having the painting altered to look like Napoleon? Is it to symbolize that Tony, much like Napoleon, is overconfident and that his own "Waterloo" (a war with NY???) is just around the corner?

  • After watching the season finale of Curb Your Enthusiasm, I was afraid that it might have been the SERIES finale, too. Things just worked out too smoothly for Larry David in "The Grand Opening." All of his ideas for the restaurant were a huge success (the waiters' uniforms, having little bells on the table), he saves the day by doing something good for the chef with Tourette's Syndrome (like the high school seniors did for the kid with leukemia). Luckily, those fears have been allayed. The series has been picked up for a fourth season.
