St. Louis Post-Dispatch sports columnist Bernie Miklasz wrote a touching story detailing 5-year-old Kannon Kile's day in the Cardinals' dugout during game 3 of the NLCS.
BENCH TINO MARTINEZ! This guy sucks. He is doing nothing to help the Cardinals this postseason. He was signed to a 3-year contract at $7 miilion per year. Even after a sub-par year (he was off his career averages in just about every offensive category), fans could have forgiven him if he would have lived up to his "Mr. October" reputation. But, instead he is batting 1-22 in the postseason. Pathetic. And if you were to actually look at his stats, him being clucth in the playoffs is a myth. He actually hits better in the regular season. Here are his career numbers:
Regular Season: .273 BA .820 OPS (on base % + slugging avg)
Postseason: .251 BA .707 OPS (on base % + slugging avg)
Hopefully he retires so we can afford another starting pitcher.
Loyal reader Matt Richards sent this in (it's pee your pants funny!): I am better than your kids (Page 1) and (Page 2) - a humorous critique of children's art work.

Going through my site statistics again. Right now I know there's not all that much up on my site. Most people (friends excluded) who find this site are either searching for that picture comparing George W. Bush to chimps (I get a fair amount of traffic for that one), the photo of the Argentinan soccer team or boycotting Denny's. Somebody actually found this site by searching for windows media player eddie murphy party all the time.
This is kind of interesting...The Smoking Gun has published a copy of "Military Studies in the Jihad Against the Tyrants" - a how-to terrorism manual that investigators believe has been used by followers of Osama bin Laden.

Every monday Sports Illustrated's Peter King writes a Monday Morning Quartberback column for CNNSi.com that is a must read. This week's column features a look at the Dolphins, annoying airline passengers, his daughter's field hockey team and more. It really is a good way to kill 10 minutes on a Monday morning.
Everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) you ever wanted to know about The Simpsons.
